Dear children,

How are you doing so far? Glad that Zhao sounds very happy with life in Vancouver. As for the rest of you, look forward to the new year because you will meet wonderful friends and teachers. Somehow or rather, we'll visit this blog less often and memories will fade. Got to be prepared for that.

How are you preparing for Christmas? It's the season of giving. Not because of Santa Claus! Santa Claus originally meant 'Saint Nicholas' who was a Christian Priest who went round secretly giving gold coins and gifts to orphaned / underprivileged children. Christmas is actually the birth of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who came into the world, did many miracles and finally died on the cross for the sins of mankind and rose from the dead! So we celebrate Christmas because we remember God giving us the greatest gift. And so we do likewise - give gifts to others to show our love for them because God first loved us.
